These are some photos taken a while back of a Ron Cheatley's track bike and a road bike that I restored.
The road bike had originally belonged to the great New Zealand road man 
Richie Thomson,who unfortunately passed away last year.
I did a tribute painting of Richie for an piece that I wrote about him for NZ Bike magazine.
He is riding this bike in the painting

  1. I think that extending the life of a fallen rider, through words and images, for a few months, perhaps years, is one of the kindest and most noble of human activities. For it is as James Dickey has written: "Lord, let me die/but not die out."
