I have decided to set up another blog solely dedicated to the history of New Zealand's most famous tours the Wisemans Six Day Tour 1953-58 and the Dulux Six Day Tour 1960-1985, I will also include any info I come across on the later seven day tours until 1990.
It is called The Wolves of the Road.

In the bottom photo number 33 is Wellington legend Trevor Rice, with Masterton hardman Brian Lambert just behind him. There was a lot of talk about this photo on Facebook when I posted it, and other names were suggested - I will try and dig up the post for further info. Note the guy on the left of this shot is the same one with puncture in your photo above!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info Oli,these later Tours are a little later than the ones I have researched, so any information at all is really helpful.
